Leadership
Founded in 1954, by Jack Kohl, the Jack Kohl Agency became a leader in both the Real Estate and Insurance businesses. Jack Kohl Jr. joined his father in 1982 and purchased both the businesses in 1987. Like his father, Jack Kohl volunteers a great deal of his time and services to the community. He serves as a Director on several boards of directors within Portage County and is the past President of the Portage County Association of Realtors. Jack’s dedication to the community is reflected in his agency’s honest and forthright service to the people it serves. Jack and his team of professionals continue to expand their office in order to best serve the real estate markets in all areas of Portage and its surrounding counties.

After nearly 70 years in business in Portage County, Jack Kohl realty is excited to announce the creation of a new partnership. Joining Jack Kohl will be Ron Lewis and Ryan Poland as owners of the Jack Kohl Realty LLC. Started in 1954, by Jack Kohl Sr., the Jack Kohl Agency has been a constant provider of Real Estate needs for Portage County. Jack Kohl Jr. joined his father in the business after returning from North Carolina where he graduated from North Carolina State University. In 1987 Jack purchased the agency from his father and continued with the same small town care and integrity that his father had made standard for all clients. Jack has been pas president of the Portage County Association of Realtors and has 40 years of experience in the business selling residential, commercial, farm, investment properties, and rental management. Jack is also very active in his community. He has been chairman of the Portage County Port Authority, chairman of Robinson Memorial Hospital Foundation, and is current active member of the bBoard of Directors for Hometown Bank of Kent. Jack’s new partners in the business, Ron Lewis and Ryan Poland bring much expertise to the business. Ryan Poland has been part of the agency for nearly 10 years. He has sold over 300 properties equalling $44 million dollars since 2014. Ryan is a graduate of Ravenna High and Kent State University where he majored in Business Management and minored in Entrepreneurship. As a lifelong resident of Ravenna, Ryan takes great pride in his hometown and is very active in the community. Ron Lewis has been in the real estate business for the past 7 years. Ron obtained his brokers license 3 years ago and was partner in Assure Realty before opening his own brokerage last year. Ron feels joining forces with the Jack Kohl agency is a wonderful opportunity for himself and his current agents. Ron has been highly successful in sales being a multi million dollar agent for the past 5 years. Ron has sold over 200 properties since becoming a realtor. Ron is also a life long resident of Portage County graduating from Rootstown High and Malone College with a degree in Business Management. Jack, Ryan, and Ron are excited about this new dynamic partnership and feel it is a wonderful opportunity for new growth in the company. They all feel strongly that an independent hometown agency is the most successful formula for their clients and the community. All three partners share the same goals to maintain the integrity of an independent brokerage firm.
